Cold Stone Creamery
105 Drury Dr, Ste D, La Plata
Join us for a special EFH field trip to our local Cold Stone Creamery, where students will get a behind-the-scenes look at how a real business operates. Owners Maliha and her husband have generously offered to host our co-op for an interactive learning experience before the store opens to the public.
During this visit, students will:
• Take a tour of the store and learn how Cold Stone operates behind the scenes
• Participate in a 25-minute interactive workshop about entrepreneurship and running a small business
• Ask questions about owning and managing a business
• Create their own custom ice cream creation at the famous Cold Stone mixing slab
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to see how creativity, business, and customer service come together in a real-world setting.
Because the store is small, we will attend in small groups (about 15 people at a time, including 2 adults).
Groups will begin at 9:30 AM, 10:15 AM, 11 AM (focused on children 8 and under), 11:45 AM (focused on children 8 and under), and 12:30 PM.
Cost
$12 per person
$8 for younger children (kid-size scoop)
Children under 2 are free
Younger children, ages 8 and under, should attend at 11 or 11:45 AM so the workshop can be adapted to their level.
We are grateful to Maliha and the Cold Stone team for creating such a fun and educational experience for our students!
You must purchase a ticket for every attendee ages 2 and older.
