Akilah Parris
Cooking
This home cook is a busy Mom of two and a proud wife. She currently lives in White Plains, MD. Akilah enjoys cooking at home with her kids, teaching cooking classes, shopping, listening to music, and traveling. Akilah holds a degree in Nuclear Medicine/Cardiac Technician and previously worked in the medical field for an exceptionally large Cardiology Practice. She loves cooking family-friendly comfort food and sharing her recipes that have been passed down from her great-grandmother. One day soon, she plans on writing a kids and busy mom's cookbook.

Dr. AnnMarie Saunders
Drama
AnnMarie T. Saunders, Ph.D., has worked as an educator and professional director and actor for more than twenty years in theatres and colleges across the southeastern United States. She has taught students from age 4-40 in acting, dance, writing and research, and a variety of other courses. She holds a PhD in Theatre History and Performance Studies from the University of Maryland – College Park, MA in directing from Texas State University, and BFA in Performance from University of Memphis. Her recent directing work includes productions of Hairspray and Romeo and Juliet for Anne Arundel Community College, Oliver!, for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf, and A Thousand Cranes for CSM, and She Stoops to Conquer for DC’s Pallas Theatre Collective.
